Semi-Finals Game 1: Grindavik - KR 95-87

Grindavik clinched the first win in the series versus KR. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-10. But KR won third quarter 33-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grindavik players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international swingman Johann Olafsson (194-86) accounted for 28 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Brandon Richardson (182-88, college: Nebraska) came up with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and the former international guard Brynjar Bjornsson (191-88, college: Francis Marion) added 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) respectively for KR in the defeat. Four KR players scored in double figures.
