Uni Girona rallied past UNB Obenasa in the quarterfinal opener. Navarra Pamplona trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 16-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 56-64 at the end of the game. Argon Uni Girona dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Navarra Pamplona's 22. They outrebounded Navarra Pamplona 43-21 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import center Cierra Bravard (193-89, college: Florida St.) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Argon Uni Girona's coach Anna Caula used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Maria Asurmendi (168-86) produced 18 points and the former international power forward Laura Herrera (190-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side.
