The game without a history. Lucca led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding C.U.S. Chieti to just 7 points in third quarter. Lucca dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to C.U.S. Chieti's 16. Lucca forced 19 C.U.S. Chieti turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Adrienne Johnson (182-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!). Slovakian center Marie Ruzickova (189-86, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lucca's coach Mirco Diamanti felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Puerto Rican Jazmine Sepulveda (178-85, college: S.Florida, agency: Merit Sports) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Elisa Silva (192-88) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for C.U.S. Chieti.
