The game without a history. Familia Schio led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Orvieto to just 6 points in first quarter. Familia Schio dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Orvieto's 28. Familia Schio forced 31 Orvieto turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jantel Lavender (190-88, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Laura Macchi (188-79) contributed with 16 points and 5 steals for the winners. Four Familia Schio players scored in double figures. Familia Schio's coach Maurizio Lasi felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Polish center Patrycja Gulak-Lipka (192-82, college: Massachusetts) answered with 10 points and 6 rebounds and American center Shamela Hampton (191-87, college: UNLV) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Orvieto.
