Regular Season Round 71: Rio Grande VV - Austin T. 120-111

The playoff-bound Austin Toros lost their regular season finale to Central Division rival Rio Grande Valley Vipers 120-111 Saturday night in Hidalgo. The Toros (27-23) secured a playoff spot on Thursday and will find out their first round matchup Sunday when the NBA D-League playoff schedule is announced. The Toros trailed trailed the Vipers by six after the first quarter and a 40 point second quarter by the Vipers gave Rio Grande a 20 point lead at halftime. Austin outscored the Vipers by 11 in the second half, but the first half deficit was too difficult to overcome. Rio Grande Valley was led by guard Andrew Goudelock, who finished with 21 points and 7 assists. Spurs reserve Aron Baynes scored 23 points and grabbed 15 for the Toros in the loss.
