Finals Game 2: London L. - Summerside S. 99-96

Tonight, in front of 3,406 fans at Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning defeated the Summerside Storm with a score of 99-96. The game was the second in the National Basketball League of Canada championship round. The Lightning now lead the series 2-0. The leading scorers tonight were Adrian Moss with 25 points, Marvin Phillips with 23 points and Tim Ellis with 15 points. Elvin Mims had a double double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. "It was a great team effort," said Adrian Moss, leading scorer of the night. "We can't be comfortable with being two up. We still have room for improvement and we need to make those improvements for game three." "We were fortunate to get win and I'm glad we were able to provide an exciting game for the fans," said Marvin Phillips. "We all stepped up as a team and made big shots. We all plan to repeat this performance in game three and win." The London Lightning will play the third game of the NBLC Finals in Summerside on Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
