Semi-Finals Game 2: Honka - Catz 57-92

Date: April 7, 2013
The game was mostly controlled by Catz Lappeenranta. Honka was better in fourth quarter 13-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Catz Lappeenranta dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Honka's 42. Catz Lappeenranta forced 26 Honka turnovers and outrebounded them 43-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Russian power forward Jelena Reshetko (184-86) notched 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American Chandrea Jones (175-87, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) did not help to save the game for Honka. Her fellow American import guard Jordan Murphree (183-87, college: Texas Tech, agency: Merit Sports) added 13 points and 4 assists for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
