The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hitachi Sunrockers to just 6 points in second quarter. It was a great shooting night for Aishin Sea Horses especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. International swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. The former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) contributed with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American power forward Jamar Smith (206-80, college: Maryland) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Yuki Mitsuhara (198-89) added 12 points in the effort for Hitachi Sunrockers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
