Very important is a road loss of third ranked Anwil (18-12) against sixth ranked Energa Czarni (16-13) on Tuesday night. Visiting Anwil was crushed by Energa Czarni in Slupsk 73-54. The game was mostly controlled by Energa Czarni. Anwil was better in second period 13-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Roderick Trice (191-84, college: S.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Marcin Dutkiewicz (196-86) who added 12 points during the contest. American guard Tony Weeden (186-83, college: Chicago St., agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 12 points and his fellow American import swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) scored 7 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Energa Czarni have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 16-13 record. Anwil at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost. Energa Czarni will play against league's leader PGE Turow in Zgorzelec in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Anwil will play at home against the league's second-placed Trefl Sopot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
