Regular Season Round 51: Kyoto Hannar. - Takamatsu FA 79-51
Date: April 13, 2013
Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Takamatsu FA (19-30) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Kyoto Hannar. (26-21) 79-51 on Saturday. Kyoto Hannar. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 28. They outrebounded Takamatsu FA 36-23 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Jermaine Boyette (188-78, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) helped adding 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was power forward Robert Johnson (203-81, college: Oregon) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyoto Hannar. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Loser Takamatsu FA keeps the ninth position with 30 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will face again Takamatsu FA (#9) at home in the next round.
