Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Skopje: MZT Skopje (#6) and Fersped-Rabotnicki (#4). Fersped-Rabotnicki was defeated at home 74-86 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. MZT Skopje made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. MZT Skopje outrebounded Fersped-Rabotnicki 44-21 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Gjorji Cekovski (203-79) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and international Damjan Stojanovski (197-87) who added 18 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. MZT Skopje's coach Ales Pipan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American-Somalian forward Mohammed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Leemire Goldwire (182-85, college: Charlotte, agency: Two Points) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Fersped-Rabotnicki players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains sixth position in Liga with 4-0 record. Fersped-Rabotnicki at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. MZT Skopje will play against league's second-placed Feni Indistrija in Kavadarci in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fersped-Rabotnicki will play on the road against Kumanovo 2009 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
