Quarter-Finals Round 3: Tln Kalev - Kalev/Cramo 70-99

Date: April 16, 2013
Kalev/Cramo eased past Tin Kalev to advance into the semifinals. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 25-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 99-70. Kalev/Cramo outrebounded Tln Kalev 42-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Tln Kalev helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American power forward Gary Wilkinson (205-82, college: Utah St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206-86, college: Boise St.) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and forward Janis Vahter (193-86) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
