Komarno overcame Nova Ves on the road to take 2-0 lead in the semifinal series. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 22-18 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 4-point victory in overtime. Komarno outrebounded Nova Ves 43-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. American forward Kevin Thompson (205-89, college: Morgan St.) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 21 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Maurice Acker (178-87, college: Marquette) responded with 29 points and 8 assists and Serbian power forward Aco Mandic (204-84) scored 24 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field).
