Regular Season Round 24: KAOD - AGOR 84-80

We should mention about the upset which took place in Dramas, where higher ranked AGOR (15-9) lost to ninth ranked KAOD (9-15) in a road game 80-84. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AGOR won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AGOR was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Marc Antonio Carter (191-85, college: NC-Wilmington) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the former international forward Nestoras Kommatos (203-77) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for AGOR. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KAOD maintains ninth position with 9-15 record. AGOR at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. KAOD will play against Ilysiakos (#11) in Athens in the next round. AGOR will play at home against Peristeri GS (#13) in Athens and hopes to get back on the winning track.
