Bottom-ranked Hacettepe managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak. This time they won against twelfth-ranked Turk Telekom in Ankara 77-70. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 26-15 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Huseyin Besok (212-75) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 26 rebounds. American point guard Anthony Grundy (189-79, college: N.Carolina St.) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Hacettepe players scored in double figures. Swingman Ceyhun Altay (196-86, agency: Court Side) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois, agency: Priority Sports) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Turk Telekom. Turk Telekom's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hacettepe maintains sixteenth position with 5-23 record. Turk Telekom at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 20 games lost. Hacettepe will play against league's leader Galatasaray in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Mersin (#13) in Akdeniz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
