Finals Game 4: Stjarnan - Grindavik 82-88

Date: April 25, 2013
Grindavik grinded out a vital road win over Stjarnan to stay in the title race. The teams will meet again on Sunday to decide on the champion. Stjarnan trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 25-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-88 at the end of the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Grindavik made 10 blocks. 26 personal fouls committed by Stjarnan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard Sammy Zeglinski (182-88, college: Virginia) who added 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side naturalized American guard Justin Shouse (180-81, college: Mercyhurst) responded with 26 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and American swingman Jarrid Frye (194-85, college: Sacred Heart) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Stjarnan players scored in double figures.
