Date: April 29, 2013
Sao Jose/Unimed held off Brasilia for 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 32-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sao Jose/Vinac made 7 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Brasilia helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international point guard Fulvio de Assis (186-81) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Murilo Becker (210-83) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Paulo Prestes (210-88) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and international forward Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Sao Jose/Vinac and four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Brasilia's coach Jose Carlos Vidal rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
