Flamnego celebrated the second straight win over Paulistano. The hosts trailed by 16 points at the halftime before their 58-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Flamengo made 10 blocks. Paulistano was plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was the former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Ghanian guard Kojo Mensah (193-85, college: Buffalo St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 12 points. International guard Elinho Corazza (193-89, college: Miami Dade CC) produced 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Eddy Carvalho (194-87) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Flamengo and five Paulistano players scored in double figures. Paulistano's coach Gustavo Conti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
