Quarter-Finals Round 3: Caceres - Breogan 52-74

Date: May 3, 2013
Breogan surged ahead in the quarterfinal series versus Caceres following a comfortable road win. The game was mostly controlled by Leche Rio Breogan. Caceres Basket was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-Dominican point guard Sean Ogirri (188-86, college: Wyoming) who scored 24 points. Dutch power forward Roeland Schaftenaar (211-88, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Roberto Morentin (206-81, college: Cent.Florida) who recorded 8 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Antonio Pena (203-86, college: Villanova) added 4 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
