Quarter-Finals Round 3: Brasilia - S.Jose/Unimed 91-76

Brasilia spurred ahead 2-1 in the series following a comfortable home victory in Game 3. The game was mostly controlled by Brasilia. Sao Jose/Vinac was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international point guard Welington Dos Santos (185-81) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!) and 7 assists. International forward Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Brasilia's coach Jose Carlos Vidal allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international power forward Murilo Becker (210-83) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Andre Laws (188-80, college: San Diego) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sao Jose/Vinac.
