Geneve Lions escaped with a narrow home win over Neuchatel to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. The hosts trailed by 18 points after three quarters before their 30-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Geneve Lions made 30-of-36 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Geneve Lions outrebounded Neuchatel 29-13 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Neuchatel helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
