Akita Happinets were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Iwate Big Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Tsukino Masato (178-88) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Dai Oketani used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) answered with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import guard Dion Harris (190-85, college: Michigan) added 27 points in the effort for Akita Happinets.
