1/8 Finals Round 2: Shimane SM - Hamamatsu P. 82-73

The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-9. But Hamamatsu Phoenix won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Shimane Magic won last quarter 25-18. American players dominated the game. Forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Jeral Davis (216-84) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and center Elbert Fuqua (211-83, college: UTSA) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds.
