The game without a history. Chiba Jets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 60.7 percent from the field and made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Chiba Jets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Toyama Grouses' players. American forward Marquin Chandler (202-82, college: San Jose St.) scored 24 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Joe Werner (201-84, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Puerto Rican power forward Angel Garcia (209-88, college: Memphis) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
