Nymburk cruised past Pardubice in the semifinal opener. The game without a history. CEZ Nymburk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to BK Pardubice's 36 and made 26-of-31 charity shots (83.9 percent) during the game. Slovakian power forward Radoslav Rancik (207-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) nailed 24 points for the winning side and the former international Jiri Welsch (199-80) accounted for 12 points and 10 assists. Canadian-Jamaican forward Corey Muirhead (197-83, college: W.Carolina) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Martin Peterka (201-95) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for BK Pardubice in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
