MIA dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kutaisi's 24 and made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kutaisi 42-24 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four MIA players scored in double figures. Azerbaijani guard Zaur Pashayev (188-83) answered with 15 points and 6 assists and international center Richard Matiashvili (207-89) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kutaisi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
