Quarter-Finals Round 5: Bauru - Franca 78-71

Date: May 10, 2013
Bauru completed the semifinal picture beating France in the decisive fifth game of the series. Vivo/Franca trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 19-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-78 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Vivo/Franca 39-21 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Paschoalotto/Bauru made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was international guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) who scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Pilar Alves (200-84) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Leonardo Meindl (200-93) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Vivo/Franca's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
