Finals Game 1: Komarno - Inter Bratislava 99-77

Komarno got to a convincing start of the championship series. They knocked down Inter Bratislava at home court. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 99-77. Komarno outrebounded Inter Bratislava 35-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Komarno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. American forward Amin Stevens (198-90, college: Florida A&M) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 19 points. Five Komarno players scored in double figures. Komarno's coach Frantisek Ron felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international center Peter Sedmak (207-85) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Alando Tucker (198-84, college: Wisconsin, agency: Priority Sports) scored 21 points.
