The game without a history. Okinawa GK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kyoto Hannar.'s 28. They outrebounded Kyoto Hannar. 42-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Naoto Kosuge (187-82) supported him with 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Okinawa GK players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) did not help to save the game for Kyoto Hannar.. Yu Okada (184-83) added 11 points for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
