Le Portel snatched a narrow win over Evreux in the opener. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ALM Evreux won third quarter 19-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Darnell Wilson (198-85, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and point guard Ronnie Taylor (188-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Court Side) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Clevin Hannah (180-87, college: Wichita St., agency: Court Side) responded with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Drake Reed (196-87, college: Austin Peay St.) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds.
