Quarter-Finals Round 2: Le Mans - ASVEL 63-55

Le Mans avoided elimination beating ASVEL at home court. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket won third quarter 13-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brazilian power forward Joao Paulo Batista (207-81, college: Gonzaga) notched 10 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Cam Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: KMG Sports Management) supported him with 9 points and 5 assists. Even 11 points and 7 rebounds by naturalized Mali forward Amara Sy (202-81) did not help to save the game for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. American guard Alex Acker (196-83, college: Pepperdine) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
