Flamengo cruised past Sao Jose/Unimed to even the semifinal series at 1-1. The game without a history. Flamengo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sao Jose/Vinac's 24 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Flamengo forced 19 Sao Jose/Vinac turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) who scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. Ghanian guard Kojo Mensah (193-85, college: Buffalo St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Flamengo players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Fulvio de Assis (186-81) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Murilo Becker (210-83) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
