The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Niigata Albirex won fourth quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds. Senegalese center Pape Faye (200-87) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Rodney Webb (200-83, college: Florida Atlantic) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Nile Murry (193-83, college: TCU) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Niigata Albirex.
