Quarter-Finals Round 3: Chalon - Roanne 91-63

Chalon dismantled Roanne in the decisive third game of the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Chorale de Roanne managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American guard Marcus Denmon (190-90, college: Missouri) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. The former international guard Steed Tchicamboud (193-81) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor's coach Gregor Beugnot felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Coleman Collins (206-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Interperformances) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the other American import Matt Howard (203-89, college: Butler) added 11 points in the effort for Chorale de Roanne.
