Quarter-Finals Round 6: Montepaschi - EA7 Armani 72-66

Date: May 20, 2013
Montepasci fired past Emporio Armani in Siena to force the decider. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Armani Milano won third quarter 24-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montepaschi Siena dominated on the defensive end, holding Armani Milano to just 7 points in second quarter. The former international point guard Daniel Hackett (200-87, college: USC, agency: Two Points) notched 18 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) supported him with 15 points. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by center Ioannis Bourousis (213-83, agency: FCM) did not help to save the game for Armani Milano. Swingman Alessandro Gentile (198-92) added 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
