Valencia trashed CAI Zaragoza at home court to gain the lead. The game without a history. Valencia Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to CAI Zaragoza's 24. Valencia Basket forced 21 CAI Zaragoza turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Brazilian center Vitor Faverani (211-88) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Rafael Martinez (191-82) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) answered with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Montenegrin-Serbian center Vladimir Golubovic (213-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 7 points in the effort for CAI Zaragoza. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
