CAI Zaragoza shot down Valencia in a wild clash tonight to even the series at 1-1. Valencia Basket was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 9-point lead after three quarters before a 30-21 charge of CAI Zaragoza, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 32-30. CAI Zaragoza made 35-of-41 free shots (85.4 percent) during the game, while Valencia Basket only scored eighteen points from the stripe. CAI Zaragoza forced 19 Valencia Basket turnovers. Valencia Basket was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Michael Roll (196-87, college: UCLA) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) chipped in 18 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). American forward Justin Doellman (206-85, college: Xavier, agency: Beo Basket) produced 29 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Pau Ribas (193-87) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Five CAI Zaragoza and four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. Valencia Basket's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
