Semi-Finals Game 4: Cantu - Acea Virtus RM 81-73

Cantu posted the second straight home win and evened the semifinal series versus Acea Virtus Roma. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But Lottomatica Roma won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cantu made 29-of-37 charity shots (78.4 percent) during the game. Lottomatica Roma was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Pietro Aradori (195-88) who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. Cantu's coach Andrea Trinchieri allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Phil Goss (186-83, college: Drexel) responded with 24 points and American-Nigerian power forward Gani Lawal (205-88, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds.
