Semi-Finals Game 5: Acea Virtus RM - Cantu 66-77

Cantu earned the third straight win over Acea Virtus Roma and surged ahead in the semifinal series. It was a great shooting night for Cantu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The former international Pietro Aradori (195-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Israeli center Alex Tyus (205-88, college: Florida) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Cantu's coach Andrea Trinchieri used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Bobby Jones (201-84, college: Washington) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import point guard Jordan Taylor (185-89, college: Wisconsin) added 14 points in the effort for Lottomatica Roma. Four Lottomatica Roma players scored in double figures.
