Quarter-Finals Round 1: Tijuana - Nogales 81-104

Nogales fired past Tijuana at the start of the quarterfinal series. The game without a history. Fuerza Guinda Nogales led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners and Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (200-74, college: UALR) chipped in 16 points and 14 rebounds. Five Fuerza Guinda Nogales players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international point guard Omar Quintero (183-81, college: S.Nazarene) responded with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
