Quarter-Finals Round 3: Nogales - Tijuana 85-87

Tijuana snatched a narrow road win over Nogales to cut the deficit in the quarterfinal series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Fuerza Guinda Nogales won fourth quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Fuerza Guinda Nogales 41-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Fuerza Guinda Nogales helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points. Forward James Penny (198-76, college: TCU) helped adding 22 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Cheyne Gadson (192-80, college: Oklahoma St.) with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) scored 23 points. Fuerza Guinda Nogales' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
