Quarter-Finals Round 4: Obregon - Hermosillo 66-88

Hermosillo completed the sweep of the quarterfinal series versus Obregon. The game was mostly controlled by Rayos de Hermosillo. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rayos de Hermosillo dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon's 32. It was a very good performance for American forward Patrick Sanders (198-85, college: Cal-Irvine) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. The former international center Joaquin Villanueva (207-86) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach Dan Tacheny felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St., agency: Dream Team Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Brandon Sperling (196-90, college: Humboldt St.) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon.
