Quarter-Finals Round 6: Tijuana - Nogales 75-61

Tijuana handed the fourth straight defeat to Nogales and advanced into CIBACOPA semifinals. The game was mostly controlled by Tijuana Zonkeys. Fuerza Guinda Nogales managed to win fourth quarter 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tijuana Zonkeys dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Fuerza Guinda Nogales' 38. Tijuana Zonkeys looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Fuerza Guinda Nogales' players. American swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 32 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward James Penny (198-76, college: TCU) chipped in 20 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Alonso Izaguirre (200-76) with 13 points and American swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
