Bahamas finished 7th in Uruguay at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship. The team escaped the last position after a 60:58 win against Mexico. Deajour Adderly brought the last points for his side to seal the victory. Bahamas won the first period 12-10 and then added 21-13 in the second frame. Mexico managed to recover in the third period after a 15-9 rally and continued to catch up with the opponents in the last period. Although Mexico won the period 20-18, it was not enough to win the game. Being tied at 58, Deajour Adderly brought the last points for his side to seal the victory. Adderley Deajour top-scored for the winners with 24 points and Gibson Qyemah collected 12 points and 10 rebounds. Gray Sebastian followed them with 9 points in a win. Melendez Rene finished the game with 16 points in defeat, whilst Venegas Ivan had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Pina Oscar nailed 10 and Contreras Diego brought 6.
