Semi-Finals Game 5: Tijuana - Navolato 100-92

Tijuana snapped two-game losing skid and defeated Navolato to take 3-2 lead in the semifinal series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-21. But Garra Canera de Navolato won second period 26-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Tijuana Zonkeys especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The former international point guard Omar Quintero (183-81, college: S.Nazarene) stepped up and scored 30 points and 7 assists for the winners and American forward James Penny (198-76, college: TCU) chipped in 19 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) scored 28 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
