Qualifying Round Round 3: MEXICO - CANADA 40-89

Canada U16 won over Mexico U16 in Day 3 of the FIBA Americas Championship. Canada won Group B with a perfect 3-0 record after an 89:40 victory. Mexico finished the Group with 2-1 record as both teams qualified to the U17 World Championship. Canada won the first period 18-10 and added massive 24-7 surge in the second frame. Moreover the Canadian players did not slow down in the second half and added another two victories. Canada erupted with a 32-12 surge in the third period and finished the game with a 15-11 rally. Charleton Bridget paced all the winners with 16 points and Farquhar Tamara as well as Willock Eternati posted 14 each. Yearwood Lauren and Chandler Julia delivered 12 points each. Ortiz Nayeli ended up with 8 points in the losing effort and Martinez Rosemy poured in 7. Rivas Cinthya and Telles Celilly had 6 points each in a loss.
