Finals Game 2: Hermosillo - Navolato 106-80

Hermosillo struck back cruising past Navolato in the second game of the title series. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 106-80. Rayos de Hermosillo dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Garra Canera de Navolato's 34. They outrebounded Garra Canera de Navolato 40-22 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rayos de Hermosillo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Kyle Spain (196-87, college: San Diego St.) scored 27 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach Dan Tacheny felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Four Garra Canera de Navolato players scored in double figures.
