Quite upsetting was Liga Sorocaba's 18-point home defeat in a game versus Paulistano who smashed hosts . The best player for the winners was American point guard Kenny Dawkins (175-87, college: Lamar) who scored 28 points and 6 assists. Forward Cesar Araujo (201-81) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Paulistano players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Chris Blake (195, college: Detroit Mercy) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Guilherme Hubner (209-87) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively.
