Preliminary Round Day 3: COSTA RICA - PUERTO RICO 43-73

Puerto Rico wins Group A of the U17 Centrobasket. They overcame Costa Rica and finished the group with 3-0 record in top. Costa Rica meanwhile finished the group with 1-2 record on the third place. Puerto Rico opened the game with a 21-12 surge and dominated the rest of the game. The favorites added massive 15-1 burst in the second frame and had 36:13 halftime advantage. Puerto Rico managed also to win the third and the last quarters of the game, They came up with a 22-16 rally in the third period and finished the game with a 15-14 run in the last period. Leon Aleana top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Robinson Chelsea netted 10. Liciaga Lyanne delivered 8, whilst Gerena Gladyshka had 6. Mora Emily ended up with 12 points in defeat and Solano Yamilah poured in 10. Herrera Meilyn scored 7, while Sanchez Jennifer and Chacon Katherine netted 4 apiece.
