Dominican Republic opened the Second Stage of FIBA Americas with victory. They rallied past Jamaica for 2-2 record. James Feldeine nailed 22 points to lead the winners. Jamaica fell at 0-4 record after the defeat. Dominican Republic opened the game with an aggressive defence. They held Jamaica to just 11 points in the opening frame to gain a 6-point lead. Dominican Republic fired 25 points in the second stanza to pile up a 13-point halftime 42:29. Jamaica stiffened their defence in the third quarter. The Caribbean team got within 12 points at the final break. But Dominican Republic went on a 21:15 run in the fourth period and secured the winning outcome at the end. Jack Michael Martinez netted 13 points in the win. Akeem Scott responded with 21 points for Jamaica. Durand Scott had 14 points in the defeat.
